I’ll Be Home With You was an interesting challenge to write, as it is essentially a series of interconnected short stories spanning the entirety of a relationship. The girls grow up before your eyes across the book, and needed to feel authentic to themselves and their ages throughout. At the same time, it was an utter joy to write two characters who love and understand each other so much.
